My name is Roman Dubovskoi. I am a native of St. Petersburg, Russia. After finishing my professional career with SKA Saint Petersburg, I became a professional hockey coach. I enjoy working with youth- pro players and follow their growth process. I bring over 9 years of coaching experience from children and youth to KHL players. I have high expectations of players’ physical and mental development and a strong work ethic and commitment. My training style is not only to incorporate skills such as power skating, agility, shooting, passing, stickhandling, and physical technics but also to work with players to maximize their personal development and a strong mindset. I expect a strong work ethic and commitment. I prefer high-intensity practices which also include a focus on developing game technics and strategies.

My training approach is all about building coordination, leg power, stamina, quickness on the ice, and speed. I like to mix drills with a lot of pivots and jumps, which really fire up the stabilizer muscles and ankles. This help players stay solid on their skates and make them more agile out there

A big part of my program focuses on puck control drills. I give exercises that teach players how to handle the puck better, making their hand more flexible and soft. This not only improves puck control but also helps with receiving passes and boosts a player`s confidence on the ice

Every practice, I carve out time for game situations. I try to put players in uncomfortable spots so they can learn to get out of their comfort zone, make decisions under pressure, and maintain focus during the game
