Stick Handling
Strong hands are essential for efficient stick handling: accepting the puck, having strong and accurate passes and outplaying opponents. This is as important as fast skating and makes you an effective hockey player. When you feel that you can protect the puck, outplay opponent, give a perfect pass – you begin to develop self-confidence, believe in yourself and play confident game without being afraid to lose the puck but rather focus on how to play a sharper game, making better plays and bringing the maximum value to your team.
For that reason, I focus on stickhandling as much as power skating.
